Today there are many products available to prevent internal and external parasites for dogs and cats. Fleas and ticks are harmful, but regular use of an external treatment can stop them from harming your pets. Monthly topical treatments, or a chewable pill, are best for treating fleas and ticks.
Internal parasites can cause severe reactions in our pets. Diarrhea, blood in the stool, and lack of appetite may be signs of an internal parasite. Regular treatment, every two to three months, can help eliminate them.
Always ask your veterinarian which product is best suited for your dog or cat, and stick to a regular program.
